Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Smith.
Hi Morgan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Bellary (named after my 3 kids) is a jewelry brand based in Savannah, created to teach my children the joy of giving back.
It began when we made necklaces for my son’s teachers for the first day of school. That small gesture led to multiple orders, and at the time we were raising money for PACK through his student ambassador program. We donated 50% of sales to his campaign, and seeing the impact inspired us to keep going.
Today, Bellary continues to donate 15% of all sales to local nonprofits that benefit children, using creativity as a way to give back and raise kind, compassionate kids.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of my biggest challenges right now is time management. Bellary is my second business alongside The Brow Bar, and balancing both while raising three young children can be overwhelming. Even with lots of help from my husband, it truly takes a village. I often have to work late nights, early mornings, and traveling frequently for pop-ups and events. I’m constantly learning how to better structure my time, set boundaries, and create rhythms that allow me to grow the business while still being present for my family.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an artist and small business owner based in Savannah, Georgia. I love to create coastal-inspired, necklace & art through my brand,
What I’m most proud of is the heart behind the brand. Bellary was created with my three children in mind, and we donate 15% of all sales to local nonprofits in our community. Giving back is at the heart of our brand for us it’s the foundation.A simple gesture has turned into a mission-driven business rooted in generosity.
What sets me apart is that Bellary is truly a family affair. My children are involved, they understand where the money goes, and they’re learning in real time that business can be used as a force for good. Each piece carries a purpose and I think customers feel that authenticity.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
There are so many incredible nonprofits doing meaningful work, but a few that are especially close to my heart are PACK, which provides weekend meals for children facing food insecurity, and Extra Special People (ESP), which creates transformative experiences for individuals with disabilities and their families.
Savannah Children’s Heart Center and Coastal Children’s Advocacy Center, both of which serve vulnerable children and families in our community.
Bellary exists to pour back into organizations like these ones that are making a real, lasting difference in the lives of children. If you have a non profit that you love, please share it with us we are always looking for new organizations.
