Exploring Life & Business with AJ Gilford of The Quarterback Keeper

Today we’d like to introduce you to AJ Gilford

Hi AJ, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began the journey of training and developing quarterbacks in January of 2017. The reason was due to the lack of proficient quarterback play in the Savannah area. I was once a quarterback in this area that never received the proper development training until the later years of high school and throughout college. This journey has been amazing to see the growth in the student athletes that I work with on a consistent basis. Guys have put in countless hours to work on their craft and to be prepared for their season.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In the beginning, one of the challenges was securing a consistent location for quarterbacks to train and develop. I changed locations often to offer the best area for guys to work without any interruptions. Now I have a consistent location at Daffin Park where I train.

We’ve been impressed with The Quarterback Keeper, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Quarterback Keeper starts with training student athletes at the age of 7 and continues through college. Males and Females are all welcomed to train and become apart of the family. With the young groups training is mainly focusing on the basic mechanics and fundamentals of being a quarterback. As they continue to develop, we focus on the proper footwork, mechanics, and real game like drills.
What sets QBK (The Quarterback Keeper) apart from others is we are truly a family and I encourage every quarterback to lean on each other and support one another along this journey that they are all apart of. I’m really proud of the impact The Quarterback Keeper training has on student athletes, the skill and confidence they have and to see them be happy with their progress and success on and off the field.
