Today, we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Madison.
Lauren, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my business back in 2017 when I lived in Connecticut, but it gained traction when I moved to Charleston in 2018 and then Savannah in 2021.
The majestic oaks, historic squares, and stunning venues make Savannah such a dreamy location for wedding photography. I think my filmy romantic style photography is the perfect fit for such a beautiful place.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
I think any success story will realistically have challenges, and mine is no different. My road to success was a gradual one of perseverance.
I used to work full-time at an insurance company and did photography on the side, viewing it more as a pipe dream than an alternative full-time job. I’m now a full-time wedding photographer, and I love it!

I’m a wedding and couples photographer based in Savannah, GA but serving Charleston and Hilton Head couples as well. I specialize in shooting weddings but also love engagement sessions, couples, maternity, and branding sessions.
I shoot film and digital photography and edit my images to have a filmy, dreamy and timeless aesthetic. I love spending my time with couples in love and preserving such special moments for them.
Networking and finding a mentor can have a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I’ve had great success with connecting with other local photographers via Instagram. When I first moved here, I didn’t know anyone other than my husband, but the photography community was very welcoming, and I’m so thankful for that.
