Hi Ann-Marie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into real estate began long before I even knew it. It started with my parents, who immigrated to Savannah, Georgia, from Romania, leaving behind everything they knew to escape communism and build a better future for our family. They worked tirelessly—juggling multiple jobs, pursuing further education, and eventually securing careers at Memorial Hospital and Union Camp. But they didn’t stop there.
With a passion for hard work and a vision for opportunity, my parents ventured into real estate, purchasing old homes, giving them new life, and reselling them. They brought me along for the ride, teaching me the ropes as we cleaned out properties and prepped them for sale. Little did I know, those early experiences would plant the seed for my future career.
As a young adult, I explored different paths, attending multiple colleges in search of the “right” career. Though I earned my degree, nothing truly resonated with me—until a simple dinner with my best friend changed everything. She casually suggested I consider becoming a Realtor, and in that moment, something clicked. I just *knew* this was what I was meant to do.
But let’s be real—getting started in real estate was *hard*. I’m beyond grateful for my husband, Ryan, whose steady job at Gulfstream helped support us through those early years. I also kept bartending to make ends meet while trying to gain traction in my new career. Unfortunately, my first brokerage didn’t offer much guidance, so I had to figure things out on my own—lots of research, trial and error, and sheer determination.
By year three, things started to shift. I was gaining momentum, helping families find their dream homes, and realizing just how much I loved being a part of such a life-changing journey for my clients. Seeing the excitement of first-time homebuyers and the joy of families relocating for new opportunities fueled my passion even more. Year after year, my business grew, and I had the privilege of guiding hundreds of clients through their real estate journeys—eventually becoming a top producer in the industry.
Then, in 2023, Ryan saw the success I had built and made a bold (and nerve-wracking) decision—he left his corporate job to join me in real estate full-time. Together, we launched Neill Realty Group within Realty One Group Inclusion, and by 2024, we were recognized as the #2 sales team! We set ambitious goals, took a leap of faith, and absolutely crushed it.
This journey has been nothing short of incredible, and we’re just getting started.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was *definitely* not a smooth road! In the beginning, I was juggling multiple jobs, planning a wedding, and then—surprise!—pregnancy. No one warned me just how tough breaking into real estate would be, and let’s be honest, it’s still a challenging industry to thrive in.
In a world where everyone seems to know at least ten Realtors, staying top of mind is one of the biggest hurdles in this business. It takes relentless effort, consistency, and a whole lot of resilience.
Now, 11 years later, I’m navigating the demands of being a top-producing agent while also being a fully present wife and mom. And when people talk about *balance*—let’s be real, does that even exist? It’s more like a constant juggling act, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

What I Like Best:
Historic Charm, New Food Scene, Coastal living ( views, beach, boat, fishing), Southern Hospitality, Variety of home styles and neighborhoods, Affordability.
What I Like Least:
The gnats and mosquitos, influx of tourism but that is really it. Savannah has such a special place in my heart and I am so grateful to call this beautiful city home!
