Today we’d like to introduce you to Christie Nix.
Hi Christie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I was that frustrated mom, two babies, lots of weight gain, struggling to find who I was, especially as an Army wife with multiple moves and deployments already. We moved to Ft. Knox Kentucky, I purposely joined a gym with childcare and great trainers.
After hiring my own trainer to help me find my athlete within again, I was asked to train for a body-building competition by the head trainer. After a few shows and quite the transformation, I put my Exercise Science degree to work and started taking clients.
There I found my love for empowering women not only through fitness, nutrition, and body transformations but also mastering their mindsets in many areas of our busy lives.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been a smooth road for me mostly because I’ve always followed God’s prompting. As an Army wife my number #1 commitment is and will always be supporting my husband’s career while being available for the kiddos.
Multiple moves, deployments, training separations, and stay-at-home mom life, there aren’t many job applications out there with an income worth me missing time with my soldier or time off to meet the many demands of raising a family, a lot of the time solo.
I’m a product of saying yes to the calling put on my heart all the while keeping my family at the top of my to-do list.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m the best at helping busy women master their fitness and nutrition. As a mom, former fitness competitor, powerlifter, and trainer that’s worked with 100’s women, I know better than most the demands of our days that often interfere or seem like roadblocks to us making that time for ourselves or really finding a process that we can maintain while losing weight and reaching our fitness goals.
Being a busy woman and Army wife my business first started online, I attract a lot of self-motivated women that want to know what to do at the gym instead of going and doing the same things over and over. Now, I have my own app with an amazing platform and portal for all the things my coaching clients need help with.
Nutrition is almost always the hardest part, after years of dieting, extreme restriction, learning how to fuel my body, and experimenting with different supplement routines, I found my home with Isagenix, a health and wellness company. It’s my exact nutrition process partnered with a platform to help women all over the world make it part of their process too.
Locally, I also train a select handful of clients in their homes, gyms, or even my garage gym when needed. Starting in 2020 of all the years, I created what I call The Little Black Dress Challenges locally. Fitness and nutrition are primary focuses, just as much having fun, supporting each other in a variety of life goals, making new friends, up-leveling our lives, and rising up as confident, empowered women.
In the end, we have a little black dress party to celebrate. To me, living #ALLiN in every area of life is more than just weight loss, it’s a lifestyle that includes a tribe of like-minded supportive women.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
2020 accelerated the online fitness industry for at least ten years. It’s more common and desirable to work with a coach online, freeing you up for workouts on your own schedule and the trainer’s time for programming them.
I’m able to focus primarily on the coaching aspect because of that flexibility. Once 2020 happened, online everything became more appealing to everyone, I’ve been rocking it since 2014!!
