Hi Inna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
With humble beginnings, from the capital city of Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2010 I graduated from the Bagira International Beauty School of Tattooing where I specialized in Cosmetic/Permanent Makeup Arts and conventional tattoo. My beginnings were as a speech therapist and teacher in a Ukrainian school until I met the love of my life who happened to live thousands of miles away which changed my life. That’s when I started to think who and what I can be in the USA since I can’t be speech therapist anymore because of language barrier. Three years of communication and the immigration process found my way to go through 6 months of formal education in my new career-path. Today I have a happy marriage with my veteran husband and 3 wonderful boys along with thousands of happy customers throughout the years here in the states.
My education, practical application and teaching students in the arts of permanent makeup has brought me great fulfilment. From this I learned that I enjoy the smiling faces of my customers, watching them leave our shop with confidence and leaving behind their complexes and anxieties.
I have committed my life to my trade with over 15 years of hands-on experience, multiple conferences and courses to stay on the forefront of technology and techniques within the Permanent Makeup Industry. My mission is to help people put their best version of themselves forward by giving them self confidence in the way they look. I have helped various individuals with correcting everything from slight imperfections to giving them the freedom of more time in their daily routines to include self-esteem and self-confidence.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge helped shape who I am today. Moving from Kyiv, Ukraine to the United States meant starting completely over — new language, new culture, new career path. I had to let go of my first profession as a speech therapist and teacher, which was very hard at first. The language barrier made me feel like I had lost part of my identity, but it also pushed me to rediscover myself through art.
Rebuilding my career in a new country took time, patience, and persistence. I went through additional training, long hours of practice, and had to earn people’s trust one client at a time. Balancing my education, business, and family life — while raising three boys — wasn’t always easy. But every difficulty taught me resilience and reminded me why I love what I do: helping people feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. Those moments make every obstacle worth it.

What makes me truly happy is seeing the confidence and joy on someone’s face when they look in the mirror after a service. It’s more than just about beauty — it’s about helping people feel comfortable in their own skin again. I love when a client who came in shy or uncertain leaves smiling, standing taller, and feeling proud of themselves.
I’ve learned that happiness comes from giving back through my art. Whether it’s restoring a person’s confidence through permanent makeup, creating a meaningful tattoo, or guiding someone through their first piercing, those moments remind me why I chose this path.
I’m also deeply happy when I see how far I’ve come — from starting over in a new country to building a life and business I love, alongside my husband and our three boys. Every client, every smile, every story adds meaning to what I do. Helping others feel beautiful helps me feel fulfilled.
