Hidden Gems: Meet Kimberly Pangaro of Atomic Mommy Press

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Pangaro.

Hi Kimberly, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a proud mama to four amazing daughters, a devoted wife, and sassy optimist. I used to be a stay-at-home mom and part-time Realtor, until COVID-19 hit. Then, I got really sick. Facing my own mortality, I decided to quit real estate and pursue my dream of writing. That’s how I became a small business owner and that’s when my company, Atomic Mommy, was born. It started as a mommy blog, with just my own thoughts getting published. After a few months, I grew it into a business, and now it’s a full-blown global media company.

That’s how Atomic Mommy was born. It started as a mommy blog, with just my own thoughts getting published. After a few months, I grew it into a business, and now it’s a full-blown global media company.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building a business from scratch with zero experience is never a smooth road. There were definitely some moments where I wanted to pull my own hair and stomp out my frustrations, sort of the way my kids throw tantrums. But my mind is all about working towards achieving my goals and never quitting on myself, even in the face of failure. So with every issue that came up, I’d sit down and plan alternate ways to reach the points I wanted and needed to reach.

One example that caused many sleepless nights was my website constantly crashing. I’m not a coder, and I host my site on WordPress, so any time they updated something on their side, my beautiful site would crash. It took many months of working with them and restructuring my site a bunch of times before it worked as seamlessly as it does now.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Atomic Mommy is a lifestyle parenting media company. Under this company and brand, I’ve built an online parenting magazine, podcast, merchandise, publishing imprint, and coming soon, a parenting wellness summit. Everything that Atomic Mommy has built is for the parenting community. Atomic Mommy’s #1 goal is to empower parents everywhere and to know they’re not alone, there is no judgment, and together, we can grow into better parents.

What sets Atomic Mommy apart from others is that we’re working towards the greater good of the parenting community and not just for the money. Sure, we’re a business, but the real aim is to be helpful. Parents are stressed enough and they have a hard job as it is, so they don’t need a company that’s not about honesty and helpfulness.

Brand-wise, I am extremely proud of the level of honesty I’ve been able to inject into my company and how I’ve been able to find similar mindsets to join the team. Because of this, many parents reach out to express their love for Atomic Mommy and it is so amazing to hear that type of feedback from so many around the world.

No matter how much my company grows, I want that level of honesty and trustworthiness to stay in place so the readers can feel like they have a brand that cares about them. And that’s something that most companies don’t offer, yet Atomic Mommy does.

What matters most to you? Why?
I hope to continuously bring new and important information to the parenting community. I never want another parent to feel alone, the way I did after each one of my daughters was born. So even if my site helps only one person, then I’ve accomplished that goal. And as my company grows, I hope I never lose that desire to help others.
