Hi Lisa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started building my business around doing readings with Oracle Decks. I started posting offers for free card pull comment readings on Facebook which went over really well and earned people becoming interested in paid readings. After buying a crystal oracle deck, I decided to put together bracelets based on readings and started to seek out crystal wholesalers. The crystal wholesaler I started buying from on TikTok was brand new as well.
We built our business together. I was working full-time and used my disposable income each week to buy more crystal beads from my wholesaler. Because of my consistent orders while building my inventory of matching crystal beads for each card, which was 78 cards, my wholesaler was able to build his business and acquire better quality merchandise.
Now I get the best quality for the best prices from him because of my initial investments of about $2,500 over a few months, a little at a time. In the meantime, I looked for wholesale sources for shipping, packaging, and making materials. I started posting about every step of building my business on social media and made it into a storyline that earned me over 1k followers on TikTok needed to go live to sell.
I opened a Shopify store and a TikTok shop to get started. I did start selling live on TikTok but because they like to issue excessive violations claiming my crystals are fake, and if they close your shop due to violations, they get to keep your money no matter the amount they didn’t pay you yet even for shipped products. I closed those shops due to the cost of Shopify and the risk of TikTok shop. Thanks to my techie nephew-in-law and niece, I have my own website/domain 8 months later. Building my inventory has been a constant process of creating new products to have something for everyone.
I now carry spell kits, bath kits, candles, and orgonite pendant sets. The product details are based on what I’ve personally used and found what has worked that I am sharing with other people in the realm of magic and energy work. I take the guesswork out and offer only the most effective products and techniques. My work consists of quantum physics including sacred geometry and Sigils, paired with the actual science of using certain materials in my products.
This business is a fusion of my background in Japanese Buddhism, elemental alchemy, Reiki, being a Rune Master apprentice, and a Gythia (Norse Heathen Priestess) Because of my studies, I make rune reiki charged rune spell Crystal bracelets and powerful orgonite pendants. I have been working on a Moonworking handbook for a few years now but I won’t be completing my book until I attain my rune and reiki master certificates. I’ve had lots of support along the way.
My sister helps me make candles, my daughter helps design my jewelry, my niece and her husband build my website, and I work with rune masters in the Knights Of Runes group who mentor me in completing my rune course. I’ve learned tarot and magic from my late Mother Joy Ciesla and Indigo Ray Healing on Facebook which she was also a part of. My sister introduced me to local reiki practitioners (2Soulsaa1) who offered to sublet their space for when I have locals book in-person readings and reiki.
Today I participate in as many local markets as possible. It seems to yield the strongest revenue consistently. Savannah being a very special place with lots of students and tourists, provides a big opportunity for street vending for local artists and crafters. I’m not sure if I would have the same success in other cities for street vending. However, the process of obtaining such permits isn’t clear on the Savannah.gov website. Their online documents don’t appear to be up-to-date so the best way to apply is in person.
Right now I’m working on acquiring set-up equipment to be able to attend more than one market in a day and make it a family business! While the weather is workable, I am building my ability to sell online by purchasing minimal ads so when the weather gets too hot to be outside, I will shift my focus to live sales online. Live sales online or in person seem to be the heartbeat of business these days. I plan on offering my products on Amazon and other major outlets eventually to supplement sales during the summer.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Shipping speed of the wholesalers can get lengthy. There are smear campaigns against some wholesalers which is hard to tell which is ethical, but most smear campaigns are false and designed to keep profits siloed to bigger companies. Applying for local permits isn’t clear, TikTok is ridiculously red-taped with police and rules which they then justify taking your money if you don’t follow. Managing TikTok rules is a full-time job never mind the time it takes to make and sell.

My full readings come with custom runic and crystal reiki jewelry and energy-clearing kits. My readings are not traditional readings, they are designed to take inventory of the wounded parts of ourselves to help heal them and keep you moving forward. I offer video-recorded readings and reiki sessions, live video chat, and in-person or video-recorded readings as well. All of my products are for sale a la carte without a reading.
What are your plans for the future?
Multiple locations, mobile house-call services such as home clearings, and selling outlets online.
