Hidden Gems: Meet Reginald Reese of The Green Toad Hemp Farm & Dispensaries

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reginald Reese. Them and their team share their story with us below:

The Green Toad Hemp Farm was founded in 2019 by Reginald Reese on a 17.5 acre plot in Metter, Georgia. After partnering with Dwayne Hirsch on Thanksgiving Day, 2019, the two set out to build the infrastructure of a working Farm without having any prior experience doing so, and without much outside help in the process. Since that day, the Green Toad Hemp Farm has become a Licensed, fully functional, 38.5 acre Agricultural entity with two full season of Hemp Cultivation under its belt. We have also purchased, renovated and activated a post harvest production facility which includes drying and curing of harvested product along with the handling and packaging of smokable products for ourselves and for other farmers.

We have the World ‘s largest joint bar, outdoor and indoor grow operation, over 50 products produced from our hemp. We are Certified Georgia Grown with 2 CBD/Hemp Dispensaries with 4 more under development (Metter and Atlanta) Post Harvest Production and Packaging Facility, we offer wholesale and white label service for entrepreneurs, and an ongoing partnership with Georgia Southern University.

Along with our own efforts, we salute the people of Metter, Georgia, whose hospitality and engagement have been a great benefit to us as we began this journey. We welcome you to join us as we continue in this quest to improve the health and daily wellness of people everywhere. This is done while also bringing the environmental and industrial benefits of Hemp to the Agricultural and manufacturing industries. This is only the beginning.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any new venture the road to success is very bumpy with lots of potholes! However, the journey is worth the bumps and bruises. The many challenges we have and had as new farmers and new to the cannabis business was a result of learning what we didn’t know and being able to constantly evolve and pivot when you have too.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are the first Licensed Hemp farm in the State and we’ve been growing legal cannabis hemp since 2020. Our company has since evolved and vertically Integrated our business. Since we started our 41 acre farm, we’ve expanded into high volume packaging operation, a edibles manufacturing company, wholesale company and retail dispensaries in Atlanta and Metter Georgia.

We are also certified Georgia grown, we have partnered with Georgia Southern University and Georgia Tech who provides overwhelming business support to help our growth. We are also connected and directly supported by the City of Metter, Candler County and Candler County Chamber of Commerce. We are very proud of the quality of our brand which is second to none and the direct research we are doing to create the most affected Hemp CBD wellness brands.

We are also proud to be one of the only a handful of Black Owned CBD brands that has over 50 products in our lineup and creating new items every quarter. Another area we are extremely proud of and no one else can claim or compete with is our World’s Largest Joint Bar. We have a joint bar in each dispensary that has over 30 different types of joints that focus on specific ailments.
