Hidden Gems: Meet Sandra Wright of Southeast Animal Osteopathy and Bodywork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Wright.

Hi Sandra, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I graduated with my bachelors in biology from Valdosta state university in 2018 and began working at Berwick Animal Hospital with Dr Douglas who taught me everything I know today. She has been the most amazing mentor for me the last 8 years. In 2023 I decided to pursue supportive therapies for animals that go hand in hand with traditional veterinary medicine and so graduated from London College of Animal Osteopathy and received my certification in pulsed electromagnetic field therapy for large and small animals. I’ve also always loved music and art and am a photographer as well!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a challenging road but an enjoyable and exciting one. Powering through the educational aspects has been the most challenging but also the most rewarding in that I have the opportunity to hopefully help more animals along the way.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Southeast Animal was started in 2024 after graduating from London College of Animal Osteopathy and we specialize in manual manipulation therapy, massage therapy, and pulsed electromagnetic field therapy. I think what sets us apart from others is simply that there aren’t a ton of more holistic or noninvasive options for animals as far as supportive therapies to be used in conjunction with traditional medicine. I’m the most proud of the success cases we’ve had in truly offering an animal comfort and being able to give owners that additional option for therapies.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was always around animals! I’ve had horses my whole life as well, dogs, cats, rabbits and so many more. I spent a majority of the time begging my parents to take me to horse riding lessons. I also loved art/music as a child and still do!
