Inspiring Conversations with Tina Ladson of MIDWAY MUSEUM INC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Ladson.

Hi Tina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
1959 the Midway Museum opened as a replica of a colonial coastal house museum with artifacts and donations from the families that formed the Midway Church and Society in 1742. We offer tours Tuesday-Saturday 10-4pm. We host special events and weddings. More information can be found on our website; themidwaymuseum.org and social media sites. We also host group tours and school groups by reservation only.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We are a small private non-profit tourism/history museum that depends on tours, donations, grants and fundraising to keep our doors open to the public. We tell the history of Coastal Georgia and the Midway Church that has been here for over 250 years. We struggle to get volunteers and schools to bring students to witness colonial life on our coast.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about MIDWAY MUSEUM INC?
