Life & Work with Claudine Vallade

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudine Vallade.

Hi Claudine, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I am a momma with a camera that turned photographer. I started this journey after I got back home from overseas work for 7 years. Working overseas made me miss my children growing up, I barely have photos of them to look back. So, when I got home, I started to take all those everyday memories of them.

Fast forward, I became the photographer of friends and now to other individuals and families. I strive to make sessions filled with smiles, happiness, laughter, and pictures that aren’t rigid and over-posed. In every session, I also aim to create an experience that fits your personality and gives you pictures that make you smile big! I love getting to capture the stories in your life and mostly, I want to give you memories that will last forever.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was a learning path. I learned different styles while editing and learned a different approach to clients.

I just gave birth recently, and that’s what I can say is a bit of a struggle for me now. But I’m trying to move forward smoothly.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a self-taught photographer. It started as a hobby taking photos of my 2 girls, then my friends and their family, and then my husband encouraged me to do model calls for family. I enjoyed taking photos and when I see the smiles and love that reflect on the images my heart feels extreme happiness. So, I keep doing it and start a business out of it.

I was a stay home mom and so doing a job that I love makes it not a job if that makes sense year 2020, I started to dip my feet in weddings, and from then, I really love it.

I love family sessions, but weddings are different, it was exhausting but at the end of the day, you can see the overflowing love between two families. I take pride in everything I do, I pour my heart into every image I produce.

Uhmm.. there are many others that do what I do, but I think, I can separate myself from them through my work. I just don’t take their photos I produce great memories that they can treasure forever. Also, I can say I’m awkwardly funny lol. I think I do every session fun and memorable.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel, being a mother that wants to treasure every second of my children helps me reach where I am now. I think, when I do my sessions, I always put myself in their shoes.

I ask myself, “If I’m the client what do I wanna see?” and then I produce it. I also think being God-fearing made me reach my goals now. I always think He is there to help me every step of the way and He is there to guide me no matter what I do in life.
