Hi Haggis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello, I’m Haggis Johnson the artist/CEO/ Co-founder of The Real Street Certified Entertainment LLC. This is my 2nd Voyage interview. I been making music for quite a while now. I started as a poet, writing really rhythmically poetry. I pretty much answered the question in the first interview. I come from a talented neighborhood in Savannah Georgia full of rappers and producers, full of talent I’m a product of my environment the good the bad beautiful and ugly. I just believed in myself and went after every dream and goal always listening always learning being a student of Inffa Red (SIP) and Ryu The Chosen One (SIP) and being groomed coached trained by pioneers who paved the way to make it possible for me to be here with you today. I’m about to be a Multi Millionaire if not a Billionaire.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it has not been a smooth road. I was always taught nothing worth having comes easy. The struggles I faced was financial issues. Real life responsibilities come first. Sometimes life can throw curves and your music career becomes just a dream. But Don’t let what God has for you go to waste.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a recording artist, I’m also the CEO/Co-founder of The Real Street Certified Ent LLC. I put on many hats to make things happen. Sometimes I have to be the gfx designer for Album art. Sometimes I have to handle the promo. Im also the guy behind the scenes getting other artists music on all platforms. So I specialize in many parts of the company. I’m known for being a lyricist making writing great songs. I’m most proud of My Brother and I legitimizing our company and still putting out records since we been established over 5 yrs ago. What sets me apart from others is, originality i don’t sound the same on every song. I don’t sound like any other artist. My lingo is that real Savannah sound. I express my pain I give hope and inspirational jewels.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice for anybody starting this journey of dream chasing is to invest in your craft. Keep going til you perfect it. And never let anyone defer you from your purpose. It’s your calling not everyone can hear.
