Hi Jena, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started blogging because I started following other bloggers and I felt inspired by them. I have always had a passion and interest in fashion since I was a kid.
I noticed that now I am a mom I find it harder to care for myself, get dressed up, do hair and makeup, etc. I wanted to be able to show women that they can still provide care for themselves, they can still be chic even as a busy working mom.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It can be a struggle. There are a lot of bloggers out there. Instagram does not always make it easy to allow others to access your posts.
The best way to handle this has been to figure out your niche and how you can stand out. Trying to form bonds and connections with other similar professionals or companies has also helped.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a blogger that focuses on fashion. I also try to promote some self-care as well. My niche is for moms’ or professional women and tries to inspire them to be chic, feel chic, dress chic, and provide themselves with the extra TLC to help them feel their best selves. I try to keep it real because life is real and not filtered.
I try to show that you can be chic but also be comfortable and that you can look good and feel good without having to try too hard or for too long of a time. I also like to have fun with color, share various price points, and try to feature some of the beauty and fun of Savannah.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I have bloggers that I look up to and feel inspired by but I make sure not to copy their style or their way. The important thing is to be YOU and shows others what YOU have to share.
