Hi Karmen, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Fedora Collection Design Co. formerly known as The Fedora Collections manifested in October of 2020. I wanted to create a brand of purpose. A brand that resonated with the class of my family who is known for dressing well, and being confident in their daily walk of life.
My late well-groomed father wore a hat and a suit like no other, my mom who wears her classy dresses and hats like the queen she is, and my late grandmother who went to church every Sunday and always wore a classy hat.
The Fedora Collections is based in Savannah, Ga. Our main goal and purpose are to empower women and men to be Bold, Confident, and Stylish. Bold was my late father, Confident was my late grandmother and Stylish represents my mother. We only started out with ten classic fedoras, which was first named the Signature Collection. Initially, we utilized Etsy only as our website platform. I can recall when I uploaded our first Fedora to sell, which sold within two days I was so elated. We also network on social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram which has some of the best supporters of Fedora Collection Design Co.
With a very supportive husband, genuine family, and customers who are our Fedora Collections Family. Only one year later, we have sold over 250 fedoras, we have sold to every state in the United States also selling to various cities of Canada. We started with three amazing brand representatives. One of which started their own successful Fedora business, we are so proud of her success and all that she deserves. We now only have two representative which we love to life, these two ladies represent our brand with honor and class. We will also be recruiting more brand representatives in the near future.
We now collaborate with Professional Photographers, including celebrities who professionally market and advertise, and last but definitely not least we have expanded our brand to now offer Customized Designed Fedoras and we are diligently preparing to offer wholesale Fedoras, which will provide the opportunity for all women and men to start their own successful Fedora Business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Obstacles we face in our business are the development of creative business strategies and keeping up with the ever-changing fashion trends.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I would say the most important lesson learned is to always focus on customer satisfaction. The main goal in business should be to please the customers.
