Life & Work with Nicki Nicole

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicki Nicole.

Hi Nicki, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Nicki Nicole and I’m the owner of Sisters’ Mobile Bartending. Ever since I was a teenager, I remember telling my friends I wanted to be a bartender when I turned 21. We would go out and I would be so fascinated by what was happening behind the bar. One day a very good friend of mine (Felicia) threw her husband a birthday party and asked me if I would bartend.

That was the day my dreams came to reality. I rocked it and made lots of tips and friends that night. The very next day I enrolled myself into bartending school, graduated, got certified and birthed Sisters’ Mobile Bartending (#Tipyourbartender) that was in 2017.

I began to perfect my craft while bartending downtown. In 2019, I decided to step away from the bar scene and exclusively do liquid catering for private parties and events.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Sisters’ was becoming a household name until we were hit with the pandemic. It became hard to book parties due to the Covid running ramped. We remained hopeful and positive until the city shut down and there was nothing we could do but stay home.

I sat and brainstormed ways to still get out there and mingle with people during this time. After, trying new things I came up with The Barrel of fun, It’s a cooler with a batched cocktail that can be premade and delivered to you -no bartender needed.

Through this whole ordeal, my mom was my biggest cheerleader, she helped me stay positive and let me bounce all my ideas off her. no matter how silly they may have sounded. Then in March of 2021, I lost my mother and my will to want to bartend. It became hard to smile and be happy when I was broken, I even thought about selling all my bartending equipment.

Friends. strangers and my fellow bartenders kept me uplifted daily even when I couldn’t get out of bed. I am grateful for these amazing people in my life. I am especially grateful for Shatira Smith she helped me pick up the broken pieces and joined the team when times were tough, I’m blessed to have her in my life.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Most people don’t know that I am a certified mixologist and I train my sister girls to be mixologist as well. I strive on being professional ALWAYS.
I’m always willing to help whenever I’m needed, bartending is my passion.

We offer several different packages that can fulfill all your mobile bartending needs.

We like to have fun when we’re working so we’ll mingle and get to know our guests throughout the night. We like to make some sort of an impact so they will remember those Sisters who made their special day great.

I’m proud of my employees they work hard and always get the job done!

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I consider myself a lucky person to not have so many hang ups in my business that I hear some people go through. My staff is amazing, My family always has my back and my friends are always willing to help when they can.

Without them I’m not sure where I would be with my business, They keep me grounded, and I will always love them for that.
