Hi Sabrina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My name is Sabrina Diaz, I am the founder of Whimsical Garden Party, LLC. I am 25 years young with two handsome little men. I married my soulmate Ryan Diaz in the year of 2017. Funny thing, we actually first met at the age of 3! Don’t believe me? We have a photo of us holding hands with the words “What a cute couple!” written underneath it. Coincidence?! I think not! I am also a lover of plants (hints the reasoning why “Garden” is in the company name).
Before I became the proud owner of Whimsical Garden Party, LLC., I managed a cosmetics counter for Estée Lauder and Clinique. I continued working there until the summer of 2020, when the COVID-19 Pandemic had hit. This had a significant impact on my family and I. Unfortunately many people, myself included, were let go from their jobs. All the while no one was allowed to expose themselves to public gatherings, which meant for us, and many others, time could only be spent staying home and remaining in isolation. Soon I began growing tired of finding new and inventive ways to make family mealtimes fun within the confines of our own home. One day I decided I was fed up, so instead of having our normal boring lunch at home, I took my family on a little picnic at the park (while still maintaining a social distance of course). Soon this became our new norm., and we began having picnics all over. It brought our family closer and filled us with much joy, especially during this harsh time.
My birthday was nearing the corner, and around that same time, small group gatherings were finally permitted. I wanted a close group of friends to partake in our newly made picnic tradition but with a twist! This picnic was going to be luxurious! In hindsight, I set my poor husband up for failure. He was unable to find anyone in our area who was able to do exactly what I had envisioned. This sparked the idea of what we now call today Whimsical Garden Party, LLC., where we bring the elegance and togetherness wrapped in a picnic to you! Our ultimate goal is to provide families, couples, and friends the opportunity to do something personalized and special that they will be able to cherish for a lifetime.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have actually experienced many bumps along the way. An example that comes to mind, is when the business had first kicked off. I struggled with establishing the business’ foundation. There were little resources I was made aware of, therefore getting the ball rolling was rather difficult. Finally, I was able to learn the ins and outs of running a small business, and am still in the process. I’m no master by any means. I can say however, things couldn’t be going smoother without the help of my husband. He has been my rock and backbone throughout the process of building WGP, LLC. from the ground up. #TheRealMVP

Whimsical Garden Party, LLC. is not only a luxury picnic service, but also an expanding business in areas of design and décor. We are known for our extravagant picnic setups. We also provide décor services for events such as weddings, holidays, photoshoots, etc. We are most proud of the connections we have made through events we have hosted since the start of WGP, LLC. What sets us apart from others is that what we do comes from a place of love. We do our best to accommodate each and every one of our guests by making their event as special and fun-filled as can be!
