Life & Work with Teresa Lusk

Today we’d like to introduce you to Teresa Lusk.

Hi Teresa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I got pregnant and had my first child at 14, two weeks later I turned 15. I married my child’s father but ended up separated in no time as we were both immature and not ready for adulthood. I got into drugs, alcohol, partying, bad relationships, etc. After years of this, I decided it was time to straighten up and I met a young man who was different than anyone else I had ever met. In a short time, we married, moved a few miles away, and started new.

We began our relationship with Jesus Christ and much change began for the best. In time, I realized I had a call to help women become who God called them to be. I began a group for stay-at-home moms called Homemaker CEO (no longer active) who loved their call at home but loved having their own businesses. That then evolved and I began sharing my testimony of getting out of practicing darkness such as new-age, witchcraft, and being a teen mom, etc. I began to use social media to preach, then began to do television ministry. I started producing the videos in a corner in my living room, and in time moved to the dining room which was my first official TV studio, then to an actual office.

Today, we have a larger studio in Allen, TX. We host training here to move in the supernatural power of God as the Bible speaks of, we do training for leadership and other topics, hold church services, and much more. I have written four books, my latest which is for women, titled, Girl Preach: A Woman’s Call to Kingdom Purpose, and had one transcribed. I developed an accelerated ministry training called, Beyond Freedom School of Ministry, and we are now taking this training to other cities across the nation and will be taking it across the globe.

We will start the TV ministry again soon. We started a library in Zambia (Africa). We, through donors, provided 1,500 books for a school that teaches orphans and low-income children. We do deliverance in this studio, which means we help people be set free from demonic oppression, and did (not currently offered) pastoral counseling.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
While it has not been a smooth ride, it has been great and rewarding! Some of the struggles have been working alone. Not having a person, an assistant, or a cheerleader who directed my steps, but having only the FULL CONFIDENCE in the Lord alone, and FULLY believing His call on my life has kept me going.

I have had opposition for being a woman preacher first, secondly, for not having my husband be on the front line as a preacher with me as church people often minimize the woman’s ministry if her husband is not also a preacher, Lastly, I have had to overcome false words about our ministry because we are so unapologetic in walking out the full-gospel, the supernatural power of the Lord Jesus!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a prophet, which is like saying am a pastor (you can use the word preacher if you prefer). I am also an author, but that is not my main title which I operate in so please do not use that first.

I am most known for preaching an unapologetic, real, vulnerable, transparent, message with miracles, signs, and wonders that follow. People DO experience the touch of God when I host events and preach. I am most proud of not running our ministry like many church people. Our goal is that people will EXPERIENCE the Lord in a way that they have never felt Him before. People can testify to this. I am proud of lives that are changed when they visit and encounter the Holy Spirit through our ministry. I am also proud of the books we have written that are helping people.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I use the term blessing as the Lord has blessed me. His blessing has played EVERY part in my success along with my cooperation and participation with His plan for me.
