Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyrone Smith.
Tyrone, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I use to do hosting at a bar in 2018/2019 called Flaujae’s and did great with that. During that time I connected with a well known popular DJ named DJ Kidd. We got together and I started learning the business and I took an interest and even deeper love for the the industry and truly found my passion in entertainment. I currently DJ at Deb’s Bar which is the place to be every weekend if you are from Savannah and that has allowed me to connect to other DJ’s or music artist in the industry. I’m currently working on launching an full entertainment and production company along side some of my friends and family and I can’t wait for y ‘all to see what we have in store.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been up’s and down along the way. You find people from different walks of life and sometimes it can be hard to speak the same language. It’s a blessing to find people that believe in you and are ready to help you and see you grow.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My specialty is networking. I’m really good at bridging the gap between people and connecting them to each other
I am most proud of my consistency with my craft , it’s expanding my growth and reach with in my own community.
Through the ups and down I believe it’s my positive and optimistic attitude sets me apart. It’s not the easiest industry to break into and it far easier to give up then to just stay committed.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My family and friends have been my biggest supporters. My aunts and uncles got me my DJ equipment and helped me to get started. DJ Kidd has been instrumental to my growth. I connected with other DJ when I was trying to learn and he is the only one that really took the time to invest in me .
