

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Gines + McKenzie Burnsed
Hi Andrea and McKenzie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Andrea began her career in real estate working for a title company from 2004 to 2008 before becoming a licensed realtor in 2018. After years of serving clients as a solo agent, she saw an opportunity to offer a more robust support system during the home buying and selling process. In 2021, she partnered with McKenzie, who had been working in digital marketing and sales since 2018. Together, they set out to create a new kind of real estate experience—one where clients never feel left waiting for answers or missing out on opportunities.
We recognized a gap in the market: when agents were unavailable, clients were often left in the dark, potentially missing important deadlines. That’s why we take a tag-team approach, ensuring that buyers can view more properties without delay and sellers can leverage the combined marketing expertise of two dedicated professionals.
As ambitious agents, we continually pursue education to better serve our clients. We have been recognized as members of the Savannah Home Builders Association, the Distinguished Sales Society, and hold a Military Relocation Professional Certification.
At the heart of our business is collaboration, trust, and communication—not just with our clients, but with each other. Real estate is a journey, and we believe that by combining our strengths, providing education, and offering unwavering support, we create a smoother process and happier homes for our clients.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When Andrea first approached McKenzie about joining her in real estate McKenzie was early on in her second pregnancy. By the time she was finished with her courses she was quickly approaching her due date. After experiencing preterm contractions and spending a week on bedrest, McKenzie made the decision to move up her licensing exam so she could become a licensed agent before giving birth. Despite the whirlwind experience, McKenzie proved her knowledge and determination by passing the exam on the first try.
In November of that same year, Andrea tragically and unexpectedly lost her husband of 12 years. We had to “make things work”. During this time, it was very much a group effort not only between us, but within our brokerage as well, since McKenzie was still a newer agent learning the ropes and Andrea had limited availability. We were thankful for our community of fellow agents who rallied and supported us over the next few months.
Despite these significant personal challenges, we remained committed to providing our clients with the highest level of service and care.
