Meet Bryan Dasher of Victorian District

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Dasher.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My business started in 2010 when my wife needed a lamp repaired for her antiques business. After several repairs for her, she suggested I get cards printed to have a “hobby” when I retired. This turned into a full time business in 2017, and in 2023 moved from an in home business to a dedicated shop close to downtown Savannah. Our services include: antique lighting restoration, general lamp and chandelier repair, chandelier cleaning, brass cleaning, custom lighting, and conversion from incandescent to led.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a constant learning process, since we never know what the next challenge will be. Every time we finish something we haven’t done before, we gain experience for the next time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We specialize in restoring antique lighting. We have a great reputation. All of our Google reviews are 5 star. We are the only full service lighting repair shop in Savannah. We also offer crating services if someone is shipping or moving a chandelier. Many repairs on broken crystal chandeliers we do could have been prevented had they been packed properly. What we do is a dying art. We are now getting calls from Charleston, SC and Jacksonville, FL. We even get work shipped to us.

What matters most to you?
Reputation. A good name is more desirable than great riches. A happy customer will tell their friends.
