Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always loved getting spray tans ever since I cheered in middle school and in high school. With loving spray tans and self care, I decided to start Lux Tanning in October of 2019. I was fresh out of high school and, I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into. I just knew I loved getting spray tans because they gave me a boost of confidence and I wanted to do the same for others! I decided to start my own small mobile business and start doing tans for other people! Self care is key and I love getting to tan other people to give them a little boost in their confidence! I have now been open for 2 years and, I am now traveling between Rincon, Statesboro, & Savannah areas tanning people who are just wanting a nice simple glow or even have an event or wedding! Lux Tanning is just a small glimpse of what I want this business to be and, I can’t wait to see where the next few years of being open takes my small mobile tanning business!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Lux Tanning has definitely had some ups and downs along the way. Some months are definitely better than others. Such as, one month will be booked full of tans and the next might not be. I stay hopeful I’m myself that the business will pick back up again & it does! One major struggle for me is keeping the motivation going, which I think is something everyone can relate to. It’s difficult to keep working when you don’t have the drive to. I have a great support system that pushes me to keep going though. Through all of the ups and downs, I still have clients that remain faithful in me and in this small business. I am always so thankful for the clients I get to tan.

Lux Tanning is a mobile spray tanning business where I travel to a person’s home and give them a bronzed and beautiful spray tan! I travel to the surrounding areas of Rincon, Savannah, and Statesboro GA. I am known for the color and solutions I use to tan people. What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Along my journey, the most important lesson I have learned is not everyone will be happy in their tan. Some people I have tanned have never gotten a tan and just wanted to try it out, and that is okay. They expressed their feelings and enjoyed the process of getting a spray tan, but they also realized it just wasn’t for them!
