Meet Farrell Click of Historic Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Farrell Click

Hi Farrell, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
A Tennessee native, I moved to Savannah after receiving a business degree from East Tennessee State University. I spent 7 years in the finance industry splitting time between Dallas TX and Savannah where I met my husband. Savannah’s beautiful historic charm and downtown lifestyle was a deciding factor for us to make Savannah’s our home. After purchasing and renovating several downtown properties, I found my true passion in real estate. These experiences led to a shift in my career path, without hesitation, with Engel and Volkers. Here I have been fortunate in working alongside some of the best in the business and becoming very familiar with the various locations throughout the low country. I believe that living your best lifestyle begins with the right home.

All of these experiences, along with tremendous support from my husband, I am the proud founder of Savannah Stays, a collection of 26 historic homes that we have meticulously restored and designed to offer luxury long and short term rental in the heart of historic downtown Savannah. Each home overlooks one of Savannah’s historic squares and has been updated with modern amenities while keeping the original architectural details in place. The most “fun and exciting” part of the work of Savannah Stays has been connecting with many local artisans to showcase their craft in the interior design of our homes. We have strived for a perfect blend of avant-garde art and furnishings with the beauty of European antiques and early American heirlooms.

During all of this beehive of activity, Hemal has maintained his medical practice and we were able to start our family! We both agree that our greatest accomplishment and blessing are our beautiful 3 year old son, Rand, and 3 month old adorable baby daughter, Calla. We love this exciting urban lifestyle defined in Savannah’s unique offerings of cultural arts, entertainment and famous cuisine, annd take advantage of it everyday, all within a short walk outside our front door!!!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We have been fortunate throughout the restoration process, but there have definitely been stumbling blocks along the way. We faced the inherent challenges of historic property restoration with the unknown infrastructure and problems that arise with any change. Other struggles have been in securing and maintaining the workforce, especially in specific areas of expertise. Supply chain issues also were an issue especially during the pandemic.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a real estate agent, I have built a reputation of working relentless and doing whatever it takes to find a client’s perfect home or to sell their current home at the best possible price. I go the extra mile to consult, search, stage and showcase homes and subsequently I have quite a few repeat clients or ones from a recommendation of a former client. I am drawn to the relationship that I can build with families and take gratification in seeing their dreams come through. Many of these clients become my Savannah friends!

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The largest area of collaboration and support at this time comes through the relationship that we have with our property managers, a very skilled and smart husband and wife team who are on it day and night. They not only take care of the day to day situations, maintenance and repairs, and cleanings but also are whiz kids at helping keep our property properties at 98% occupancy and consistent 5 star reviews. Keeping our reputation for luxury rentals at the highest level is a daily task and they work with us nonstop. We will reach our 1000th review this month!
