Today we’d like to introduce you to Faye Williams, MBA.
Hi Faye, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Adyir Business Solutions LLC was established in June of 2017. Prior to starting Adyir, I worked for Hargray Communications for 4 years as a business analyst.
While employed with Hargray, I pursued my MBA in 2013 and graduated on May 23, 2017. At that point, I decided I wanted to do something with my degree. I wanted to create jobs.
I have always considered my working career as the training ground for becoming a business owner. Adyir Business Solutions LLC is an agency that hires virtual customer service reps, cleaners, housekeepers, and maintenance workers. We are currently working to add another position – property management.
In June of 2017, virtual customer service reps were our first opening positions with us hiring in GA only. We are now hiring virtual reps in Florida, Tennessee, and North Carolina. In 2018, we added housekeeping and cleaners. In 2022, we added maintenance. We service Savannah, Atlanta, and Hilton Head, SC.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we are still growing primarily servicing vacation rentals and residential homes with occasional move-out/move-in cleanings.
I am the baby of 7 siblings. The only one of 7 children that have graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. The only child that has started their own business. My mom, whom I lost at the age of 28, had only a 5th-grade education and would have been very proud.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road at all, more like a roller coaster. One of the main struggles in Savannah and Hilton Head, SC is finding employees that will work for a long-extended time.
COVID-19 added to the struggle as we had to require that individuals wear masks and be vaccinated. Our most recent struggle is when Congress passed a stimulus package that included up to $1,400 in direct payments for individuals.
The package also included weekly payments of $300 in federal unemployment aid through September, in addition to unemployment benefits paid out by states. Many individuals calculated that they would make more money staying at home.
As you know, we’re big fans of Adyir Business Solutions LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Adyir Business Solutions LLC is an organization that provides jobs and an opportunity to those who seek to work in the hospitality or customer service field.
Individuals that choose housekeeping, cleaner, or maintenance positions are trained and assigned properties once they have completed their 90 days probation period.
Individuals that work virtually as customer service reps are required to complete an assessment and training that can last up to 6 weeks. Once training is completed, they then can start earning revenue. They have the option of choosing their work hours and the Client they would like to service.
We are most known for our thoroughness, attention to detail, and innovative ideas for cleaning.
Adyir is currently working on obtaining its trademark for its logo which you will see displayed on their commercial vehicles and employees’ uniforms.
