Meet Greg Soto

Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg Soto.

Greg Soto

Hi Greg, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I worked in information technology for over a decade and a half, usually behind a computer screen. I had the opportunity to speak in front of 100 high school kids about technology professions one day. It was thrilling to discover my genuine passion at that moment, being a bridge to help people go from where they are to where they want to be. It felt terrific to talk about future paths and strategies for getting there. While working numerous jobs, I became an Associate Director of Admissions at an Indianapolis institution. I overcame my dread of public speaking and appeared on Univision television shows, on the radio to promote the university, and in front of thousands of students across the Midwest. Following that, I dabbled in real estate, acting as a link between buyers and sellers to help them find what they were searching for. That led me to recruiting, where I once again assisted people in getting to where they wanted to go and be.

We relocated to Pooler approximately a year and a half ago. I was still recruiting at the moment, but something was lacking in my life. I knew there was more I could do. After much deliberation, my wife, Samantha, and I decided to take the plunge, dive headfirst into the deep end of the pool, and launch my own social media management company. My calling has been business, marketing, and public speaking for the past seven years. It’s only been a little over two months, and I already have a few clients. I also recently launched a new business podcast, which premiered on October 5 and features local business entrepreneurs and their journeys.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For years, the road has been difficult from within. You name it: self-doubt, anxiety, paralysis by analysis. It’s as if I mastered my fear of public speaking, but then other worries appeared. I was able to overcome my worries thanks to the advice and assistance of my wife and professionals. I simply tell myself, “Enough is enough; get out there and do what you want to do, no matter what anyone says.” It’s a self-check that should be done at least once a week, and it works. I visualize the wonderful moments in my thoughts, and all of my fears vanish.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Engage Echo, I specialize in creating and managing social media accounts to help clients post high-quality original content that connects them to their audience. There is a way to successfully accomplish this, so it can positively influence your business.

As technology evolves, I am constantly expanding my knowledge base. I understand how intimidating the concept of Social Media Marketing and Management can be and how time-consuming it is to create a social customer base.

I specialize in creating relationships with small to midsize businesses provide monthly reports, and adjust campaigns as needed to support their business goals.

I’m proud of the support system I have in place. I have people looking out for me from Indiana, Arizona, Georgia, and Florida, all that want to see me continue succeeding.

What sets me apart is that I do not claim to know it all; I will not make promises that are unattainable, and I will take chances to make an impact.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Business luck? Hmmm…maybe not so much that. It’s been more strategy, positive mindset, being open to different possibilities, taking chances, and prayer. If that all brings luck, well okay.
