Today we’d like to introduce you to Gustavo Rattia.
Hi Gustavo, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m originally from Venezuela and graduated as a Systems Engineer. During my last years of high school, I joined a Theater company and was part of it throughout my college years. Then, I joined a well-known choir group in my city, Rapsodia, Chamber Choir, where I met my wife, Rossany.
By always being involved with the arts, my wife and I started a production company doing services for social events as well as commercial production and participating in different film festivals. At the same time, I’ve participated in different choral competitions around the world with Rapsodia: Germany (2004), China (2006), Austria (2008), China (2010), USA (2012).
We moved to the USA in 2015 and started working with the local TV station WHHI as a Production Coordinator now we have our own production company Oceano Blue LLC and recently launched a Hispanic Digital Channel, Oceano TV which we’re currently growing and filling out with newscasts and shows in Spanish for the local community.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There have been lots of struggles along the way, of course, as parents we always have to lead the way to show our children the way to thrive and succeed.
There are so many times when an immigrant you have to adapt to a different culture and leave your family and country behind, and that’s certainly not easy.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Oceano Blue LLC is a Photography and Videography Production business, a licensed Drone Pilot (FAA), and a member of the Professional Photographers of America.
We specialize in commercial photography and cinematography, as well as photography portraits in a studio or outdoors, our team also works with weddings and events in the area.
Our brand has an artistic background and that reflects in our products. We also aim to offer great customer service as we place communication as a top priority on our list.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
My most important lesson is to stay focused on your goals and to always keep your mind clear and calm, that allows you to see the problems as a whole and find solutions.
I see myself as a problem solver and try to find solutions to bumps along the journey instead of getting stuck on littleness and trivialities.

Gustavo is a joy to work with. A consummate professional and listens well to the project assignment. I have my own marketing public relations firm and Oceano Blue is always my first call for a video project or photography! So gifted. Happy to see this profile for him and his family. Congratulations, Gustavo.
