Today we’d like to introduce you to Khylie Wilkerson.
Hi Khylie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Khylie’s passion for performing arts emerged at age two, when she began dancing with her grandmother. She explored various athletic pursuits, including t-ball, basketball, soccer, and gymnastics. Upon discovering a Facebook advertisement for Studio Powers Dance Company auditions, she successfully secured a position on the team at age four. Subsequently, she has garnered numerous awards, company acceptances, ambassador roles, and pre-professional company offers.
Khylie’s expertise encompasses a diverse range of dance genres, including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, and ballroom. Recently, at age ten, she achieved first place in three out of six competitions and secured top-five placements in the remaining two. Furthermore, she has served as an instructor assistant for two dance platforms, Titans and Revive/Adrenaline, for the past two years.
Khylie enjoys taking dance pictures and also attending dance conventions meeting new dance friends.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part yes it has been smooth.
These past 2 seasons Khylie performed and jazz and open solo which consists of lots of acrobatic tricks in her routine. Unfortunately, these two genres were not what the judges were looking for so she took it upon herself to switch things up and went contemporary/ lyrical and she has blossomed not just emotionally but her musicality and technicality have improved which has received her several first place accolades and recognition.

Khylie is a gifted young dancer with a talent for diverse genres and impressive acrobatic skills, including back handsprings and aerials. Her captivating performances, enhanced by expressive facials and passionate engagement with the audience, establish her as a true entertainer. This exceptional ability distinguishes her from her peers. Khylie’s considerable strength enables her to execute advanced routines for her age.
Khylie, her family/friends/peers and coaches are most proud of her growth and humble personality! Khylie has the sweetest heart and while she accumulates many high achievement awards and acknowledgments from industry professionals at her age, she stays humble and kind— which will take her far in this industry.
