Hi LaTonja, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in East Saint Louis, Illinois- a place that shaped my resilience and gave me my first lessons in navigating life’s challenges with grace. I later planted roots in Nashville, TN, where I continued to grow personally and professionally. In 2022, I moved to Savannah, GA and I truly feel at home now. My journey has always been about seeking truth, healing, and spiritual depth-true to my Life Path Number 7. Before I fully embraced my life as a spiritual guide and intuitive, I was deeply rooted in service through more traditional roles. I’m a certified counselor and worked as an auditor for the State of Tennessee. I hold a master’s degree from the University of Memphis, and my dissertation was so meaningful that it became part of the University’s Oral History Project-preserved both in their book and in the Library of Congress. Even then, I was driven by curiosity and a desire to help people see the truth-whether through numbers, policies, or personal healing. But life had a way of pushing me further; through personal trials, deep ancestral ties, and a calling I could no longer ignore. Astrology, numerology & tarot found me exactly when I needed to reclaim my power and help others do the same. I started like many people: carrying generational burdens, people-pleasing, and searching for meaning through life’s traumas and betrayals. Over time, my spiritual gifts, ancestral connection, and deep curiosity for astrology, numerology and tarot pulled me deeper into the mystic path. I began reading cards and studying the charts for myself, then for friends, and before I knew it, I was offering guidance to people around the world. My healing stone jewelry and chakra oils came naturally-I wanted to craft tangible tools that carry the same loving energy as my astrology, numerology and tarot readings. Today, through Malik’s Mystikal Magik & Intuitive Consultations, I empower others to reclaim their power, find clarity in chaos, and trust Spirit’s divine timing. Every challenge I’ve faced refined my intuition and taught me how to stand firm in my purpose; to guide, to teach, and to help others see the light within themselves. Today, through Malik’s Mystikal Magik & Intuitive Consultations, I merge my academic, counseling, and spiritual wisdom to guide my clients toward clarity, empowerment, and self-love. Every reading, every healing stone, and every consultation honors both my roots and my soul’s higher calling.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but every challenge has strengthened my commitment to my path. I’ve navigated setbacks more than once and had to learn how to trust the journey, even when the destination wasn’t clear. Building a spiritual practice while balancing everyday responsibilities has taught me patience, resilience, and how to honor my own energy first. Along the way, I’ve discovered that self-care is just as vital as service. There were times when I felt alone, misunderstood, or judged for stepping outside of traditional career boxes to follow my spiritual calling. But each experience refined my intuition, taught me sacred boundaries, and reminded me that I’m here to help others rise from their own pain, too. I see every twist and turn not as a setback but as a lesson that brought me closer to my purpose. This awareness came after I learned my own energy by studying my first natal/birth reading & chart. One must know thyself first before helping others and that is the inner work I had to complete before I was guided to assist the collective. While, the road may not have been smooth, it has always been guided-by Spirit, my ancestors, and my unwavering belief that every storm is a teacher. And for that, I am grateful.

As an artist and intuitive creator, my work blends spiritual guidance with handcrafted healing tools. I design and craft custom healing stone jewelry and chakra oils that carry protective, restorative energy. Each piece is made with intention, prayer and a deep respect for the natural power of crystals and botanicals. I specialize in creating wearable art that doubles as a daily reminder of self-love, balance, and spiritual alignment. Clients often tell me my pieces feel like personal talismans-unique to their journey and charged with loving energy. I’m most proud of how my creations empower people beyond the reading table. Whether someone wears a bracelet I made or use my chakra oil in a daily ritual, they’re carrying a piece of my energy as a reminder that healing is an everyday practice. What sets me apart is the fusion of my counseling background, my intuitive gifts, and my genuine care for each client’s spiritual path. What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that healing starts within. No tool, no reading, no stone can replace the work we must do inside ourselves. My creations and my guidance are reminders-but the true power is in the person wearing the bracelet, using the oil, or receiving the message. I’ve also learned to trust Spirit’s timing and to trust my intuition, even when others don’t understand my path. This trust keeps me grounded and helps me create from a place of love and purpose, not pressure or fear. Most of all, I’ve learned to protect my energy, to pour into myself first, and to never lose sight of why I do this work: to help others remember they are worthy of love, light, and alignment.
