Meet Madison D’Alesio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison D’Alesio.

Hi Madison, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started fresh out of esthetics school working in Statesboro, GA as a lash artist.

I went to school knowing I wanted to do lashes and couldn’t wait to jump in with both feet. I am a 3x certified lash artist and for almost 2 years lashes were all I did.

I, then, decided it was time to venture into some different things so I am now a Sugarista at Southern Sugaring and Spa in Savannah. Don’t worry, I still do lashes too!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I was in the middle of esthetics school when the Covid-19 pandemic hit so the road hasn’t been exactly smooth since the very beginning of my journey.

Once I finished school it was terrifying to be venturing out into the beauty industry when everything was still so uncertain with the pandemic.

But I personally feel like as long as you keep putting one foot in front of the other and persevering through any situation life throws at you then there’s no way you can fail.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a licensed Esthetician. I am a 3x certified lash artist, I am trained in sugaring hair removal and I am working on certifications for dermaplaning and hydra-facials.

I am most proud of my lashing at this point, there is an art to lashing and I’ve spent a lot of time mastering that. I think what sets me apart is that one of my biggest priorities at work is helping people feel beautiful in their own bodies by enhancing their natural beauty.

Societal standards make people feel like they constantly need to change something about themselves but I think it’s so important to love the skin you’re in and do the things that make you feel beautiful.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
TARGET! I currently reside in Statesboro and we don’t have a Target so that’s definitely my favorite thing about Savannah. My least favorite thing would have to be the morning traffic.
