Meet Sarah Jorgensen of Coldwell Banker Access Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Jorgensen.

Hi Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
From Restoration to Real Estate: A Journey of Redemption, Purpose, and Hope
Years ago, I found myself broken and unsure of who I was or where I belonged. It was through the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia that I encountered the kind of restoration only Jesus can offer. That season of surrender and healing laid the foundation for everything I’ve built since. It wasn’t just about recovery; it was about rediscovery. I learned that grace isn’t just a concept; it’s a lifeline. And I knew I wanted to live a life that extended that grace to others.

I didn’t walk into the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia with hope. I walked in with shame, fear, and a lifetime of trauma. From the earliest years of my existence, my life had been marked by pain, abuse, addiction, and moments so dark I didn’t think I’d survive them. Sixteen years lost in addiction I was chasing numbness, running from truth, believing I was beyond redemption. I wasn’t living. I was surviving.

But Jesus met me in the middle of my brokenness. And that’s when the real journey began.
Because rescue is just the beginning. Healing takes time, truth, and grace. And for me, it started with surrender. The Rescue Mission didn’t just help me recover, it helped me remember who I was. Not the version shaped by trauma, but the one God had always seen. I learned that healing isn’t about forgetting. It’s about facing the truth, taking inventory, and walking through it with Jesus beside you. It’s about forgiving people who never said sorry. It’s about forgiving yourself. It’s about discovering that you are not what happened to you, you are who God says you are.

They helped me pick apart the pieces so I could put them back together and create something new and beautiful with the Lord. Forgiveness opened the door to freedom. Not because the past disappeared, but because it lost its power over me. I found peace in the presence of Jesus.

Healing doesn’t come all at once. It’s a process. And Jesus is my strength in that process, through the hard days, the rough nights, and the moments when I feel like I’m slipping. He reminds me I’m not alone, not forgotten, and not defined by what I’ve been through. I’ve learned that striving for perfection only leads to pride, and pride comes before the fall. I’ve been humbled over and over again. We are merely human, but Jesus is right there to pick us back up.

Before any of that healing could begin, I had to humble myself. I had to stop blaming everything and everyone else. I had to admit my own faults, the choices I made, the lies I believed, the pride that kept me stuck. I had to stop living in denial and start living in truth.

So, if you’re in the middle of the process, still hurting, still healing, I want you to know: you don’t have to have it all together. You just have to be willing. Willing to let go. Willing to let God. Willing to believe that even in the struggle, He is working.
Because He’s not just the God of rescue.

He’s the God who stays.
The God who carries.
The God who heals.
Help is available. Hope is possible. Healing is promised.

And if He did it for me, He can do it for you.

That’s the foundation I stand on today as a real estate agent. I didn’t get into this business just to sell homes, I got into it to help people find peace, possibility, and a place to belong. Helping people find home, whether it’s their first house, a new chapter, or a fresh start, felt deeply aligned with the restoration I’d experienced. I entered the industry with a passion for helping others achieve their goals, but also with a conviction: people deserve to work with someone who stands by integrity, who sees them, and who honors their story. That’s what I strive to do every day.

Real estate became the vessel for my calling.

But my mission goes beyond transactions. I want my work to raise awareness for the resources that saved my life. The Rescue Mission isn’t just a place, it’s a lifeline for those who feel lost, broken, and forgotten. I want others to know that help is real, hope is available, and restoration is possible.

Through real estate, I’m building something bigger than a business. I’m building a platform to give back, so that others can have the same opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive.

My journey is proof that brokenness isn’t the end.
It can be the beginning of something beautiful.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Obstacles, Relapse, and the Rise That Followed

My journey hasn’t been easy. Healing rarely is.

Even after finding restoration through Jesus and the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia, I’ve faced real, relentless challenges. Hardships with my family. The weight of raising a teenager and a toddler while trying to rebuild my life. Financial instability that kept me up at night. Working all day, every day, with little time for my kids, or even for myself. I went months without a single day off, running on fumes and faith.

I made mistakes. I let the pressure isolate me. I let pride convince me that relapse couldn’t happen to me.
And then it did.

I was humbled. And I learned something that changed everything: relapse is part of recovery. It’s not the end, it’s a moment. What matters is what you do with it.

Micah 7:8 says, “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will rise.”
And I believe just that.

The Lord is my strength. He walks with me through the hard days, the rough nights, and the moments when I feel like I’m slipping. He reminds me that I’m not alone, not forgotten, and not defined by what I’ve been through.

I’ve become even more determined. More motivated. More focused on the mission He’s given me, to overcome, to inspire, and to serve others with truth and grace.

Because this journey isn’t about perfection. It’s about perseverance.
It’s about rising again.
And again.
And again.
