Hi Savannah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Hello, my name is Savannah I was born and raised in Long Island, New York I moved out here to Savannah, Georgia, four years ago. I have met my husband, and we have been together since three years. I have one daughter. Her name is Olivia. She is one years old.
I was inspired since I was a little girl with my grandma in the kitchen. She would make our family traditional desserts, such as homemade strudel and homemade cakes and pies.
Following up with my teenagers, I decided to do more, so I decided to make custom cakes and pastries
I was always inspired to make French pastries
I worked at a bakery in Connecticut
For three years
They taught me so much for from Italian to French
French pastries are my favorite to make
But also gave me inspired was Martha Stewart making her custom cakes

I have been baking from home since three
I always dreamt of having my own business for cake, decorating, and making pastries. Now my business and my dream has finally came. True since I was a little girl, I always wanted to work in a bakery, and I have work in a bakery with amazing chefs.
And now my business is started to grow, dreams really do come true
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We had some bump in the roads, but we got through all things to Jesus
I would never do nothing without Jesus
He has brought me through, and he has made my dreams come true
We’ve been impressed with Cakes By Savannah, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Nobody that I know of in my city of offers what I offer, which is custom French pastries and cakes to order. There are many recipes that my grandmother taught me that I love baking even now that she’s gone. But I would definitely say that no one in Savannah, GA makes a better cheesecake than I do, and believe me, I’ve tried them all. I think what sets me apart from my competition is the love and dedication I have for my customers and their orders. There was once a woman who ordered a birthday cake from me, and I was very late because of construction traffic delivering it. She thought I had scammed her and, in that moment, I broke down in front of my husband crying. Telling him that I put the same heart in baking her babies’ cake as I would for my own daughter. And I think that’s what sets me apart.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was always a good little girl growing up, listening to my parents being raised like a lady taught well from my grandmother my mom, and my dad
