Hi Sequorey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I started learning how to cook in 2015. Working at Munchies BBQ for six years taught me much about the food business. From the good to the bad, the learning experience was needed. In 2022, after the passing of my mother, Patricia Houston, I decided that it was time for me to go on my path because it was something I and I always talked about.
“Juneteenth” of ‘22 was when I took my risk, not knowing what I was getting myself into, but trust me when I tell you, the love shown that day by everybody who came and supported me didn’t go unnoticed!!! Next thing you know I started getting phones calls the rest of year to cook for this and that event, all I can say is I’m truly blessed to where I’m at with my business today and it’s so much more coming in the future!!!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road was far from smooth, but I accepted every challenge. My biggest challenge was learning how to become a real businessman. Overcoming the ups and downs has been a lot of long days and nights. Becoming more disciplined with time management.

95 South BBQ, we do local pop-ups throughout the city weekly. Specifically, we specialize in catering for events such as weddings, family events, small gatherings, and class reunions.
My taste sets me apart from others because growing families had a lot of cookouts. We all got that one aunty or uncle who can grill, but when they come to try my food, it’s always the same response “This the best BBQ I had in my life,” and I better not put sauce on it, or they wanna fight, and that’s what I love to hear!!!!!!!! 95 South BBQ Catering satisfies your every need, no matter if it’s last minute.
