Rising Stars: Meet Andy Sutphen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy Sutphen. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Street Clothes was formed by singer/songwriter Andy Sutphen in 2014.

Three albums and several lineup changes later the band has evolved out of the garage and further into the indie synth-pop territory. Focusing on catchy hooks, dark lyrics, and dance music, Street Clothes’ live shows have always been a high-energy affair with lead singer Andy Sutphen’s performances bordering on punk rock.

Now with John Xarras’ production and a shiny new studio – their upcoming fourth long-play album coming later this year will be their most impressive and palatable offering yet.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
A band is like a marriage. And Street Clothes’ is like a marriage between five consenting lunatics.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We’re most proud of our latest album, the 2021 release, Decadence and Decay (out everywhere you stream music).

Our next show is Friday, April 15th with Bero Bero and Nicholas Mallis at The Wormhole. We are extremely proud of our new set.
