Today we’d like to introduce you to Charmaine Wells.
Hi Charmaine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As early as I can remember, I have been creative and into to fashion. I would design clothing items for my dolls, and when I was older, I would style pieces for myself and friends. Upcycling items and adding a twist or spin on an art project was always fun for me. I’ve worked in healthcare majority of my life, and I love helping people in that capacity. Yet, I discovered that being a creator was my passion, and I discovered I could help people through my creative vision as well. During the pandemic, I decided to explore my options and play with my Cricut machine. I opened the box with little to no expectations, and I thought that I would only design and style clothes for my family and I. In 2021, it took off, and I started posting some of my creations, and I would receive several messages requesting items. The positive feedback was amazing. In that moment, a light bulb went off, and I decided to turn my hobby into a business. From that moment, I’ve been changing lives with my creativity by providing shirts for events, party supplies, and plenty of personal gifts.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it was not always smooth. I think any business owner will say starting is the easy part. Keeping it going is the hardest. On a daily basis, I’m met with so many obstacles, and I truly understand that it’s much harder playing all the working parts in your business. Providing the best customer service is my goal. Therefore, I spend many nights responding to e-mails, messages, and thinking of new ways to market. It’s a never-ending cycle, but the thrill and passion keeps me going.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I like to call myself a “crafty creator.” I do all things when it comes to crafting. Oftentimes, I tell myself that there is nothing I can’t do. My customers challenge me on a daily basis when it comes to their requests. I specialize in personalized clothing items, such as but not limited to shirts and baby clothing, custom tumblers, and gift sets.
I am most proud of how far I have come with my boldness. It took me a while to step out of my shell and offer my services to the public. I’m an artist, and I tend to be sensitive when it comes to my work. Yet, I’ve received nothing short of positive feedback, and I’m so happy that I decided to branch out and follow my heart to pursue my passion.
My quality of work and my eye for fashion sets me apart from the rest. Everyone can put together a product given a set of instructions, but not all have an eye for what it is missing. My creativity allows me to step outside of the mold and provide an outstanding finished product that is aesthetically pleasing to my customers.

I’ve had so much good luck when venturing out into becoming a business owner that it is almost unreal. The way that things took off for me, it makes it hard to describe. I feel like being a positive individual and always pouring into others has afforded me this opportunity. Therefore, I will continue to pour into others to keep that good luck rolling!
