Today we’d like to introduce you to Christia Cuumings-Slack.
Hi Christia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Well, my grandma says I could draw and play cards before I could walk, lol. For as long as I can remember I have always drawn or doodled. I can not if I have a mark making utensil in my hand. When I came to Savannah for graduate school I realized that I was intuitive and psychic as well. I thought everyone could see what I saw. Growing up in an environment where children are to be seen and not heard no one was talking about it, so I didn’t either. It wasn’t until I was around like-minded individuals that I realized my gifts.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh gosh, bumpy road, but that is what makes us who we are. If it was easy would we even do it? I have had to learn to self-care and to learn how to receive. To learn it is ok to take money for my art and gifts. Our culture uses money as the current energy exchange and being ok with that.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am known as the Angel Medium. A bridge between the invisible world and this world. It has been my mission to create art that helps one see the invisible. To break down the belief that if you can’t see it, it is not real. That is a false belief system that does not serve humanity anymore. 95% of our world is in the invisible. I have been creating cloud paintings recently. My artwork is beautiful and I use very beautiful colors. I don’t do ugly paintings. It is my goal to create art that is filled with prayer and positive energy so when you put it in your space that energy radiates out into your space.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Yes, hopefully, more and more will open to Spirit and embrace who they truly are, a spiritual being living in a spiritual universe, governed by spiritual law.
