Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Andrews.
Hi Stephanie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In September 2002, we opened Halo in Atlanta, Georgia. While working in Atlanta, we were hearing the buzz about the revised GA Entertainment Incentive Act. There were a ton of model and talent agencies in Atlanta but there were none in Savannah. In 2007, we opened a second office on Bull Street in downtown Savannah. Between the tax incentives and the beauty of our city, we’ve had many movie productions set up camp in our town but we’ve also had a ton of national print and tv commercial campaigns come to Savannah, too. From national campaigns to local work, we’ve been booking models and actors in Savannah for more than 15 years. Some of our national clients include Anthropologie, Ralph Lauren Polo, Fruit of the Loom, Kohl’s, Belk, Huffy Bikes, Gulfstream, Westin Hotels, Montage Resorts, JC Penney, Marriott and more!
Prior to opening The Halo Agency, the owner, Stephanie Duke Andrews, was a model in NYC and also worked as an agent for talent and fashion agencies in Atlanta. She was also a scout for the prestigious Italian fashion agency, Eye for Eye, Milan.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
While we love what we do, our biggest obstacle is skepticism.
We understand that, due to the nature of the modeling and acting industry, many parents understandably feel some skepticism about allowing their children to participate. At Halo Agency, we recognize these concerns and want to assure you that the safety and well-being of our young talent are our highest priorities.
As a family and Christian-owned company, we meticulously vet all clients and maintain a strict policy of mandatory parental involvement. We never meet with or speak with minors without a parent present, and parents are required to be on set with their children at all times. Our young talent are always within sight of their parents, and this is a standard we firmly uphold.
We believe that a degree of caution is healthy when considering opportunities for your children. However, we also know that excessive skepticism can sometimes lead to missing out on positive experiences. Over the years, we’ve built our Halo family on a foundation of trust and open communication, encouraging active parental participation in every step of the process.
It’s rewarding to see individuals who started with Halo at a young age, some as early as twelve, now thriving as adult talent under our representation. This long-term commitment speaks to our dedication and the positive experiences our talent and their families have had with us. When we say we are a family, it’s not just a sentiment; it’s the core of how we operate.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

How do you define success?
This is a wonderful question that touches on the heart of what we explore in our “Success” workshop for women and performers, which we’ve been leading for many years.
The concept of success is deeply personal. Stephen Covey eloquently illustrates this in “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.” He invites readers to envision their own funeral and consider what they would want their loved ones – family, friends – to say about them. These aspirations, the qualities and impact you hope to have, truly define your individual success.
While we all appreciate financial well-being, ultimately, the richness of our relationships is the truest measure of a successful life.
In our workshop, we also discuss practical tips, one being the concept of GROWTH. Consider what naturally grows: trees, pets, children, plants. This analogy underscores a vital principle: if we aren’t growing, we’re stagnant. Personal growth begins internally. Cultivating positive daily thoughts is foundational to our success, and with conscious effort, we can direct our thinking. Growth also extends outward, nurturing our connections with others. Furthermore, it involves an upward trajectory – letting go of hindrances and evolving beyond limitations.
Ultimately, the most profound success any model, actor, or individual can achieve is a continuous dedication to becoming a better version of themselves.
We also emphasize to all of our models and actors that true success lies in how they treat others, regardless of whether or not they book a job. In this industry, rejection is a common experience. While it’s certainly important to be gracious and professional when you are selected for a role, your character truly shines through in how you conduct yourself when you aren’t.
How you handle setbacks and learn from them is a significant factor in your long-term success. There’s a delicate balance between confidence and humility, and embodying both will undoubtedly resonate positively with those around you.
