I was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, but I grew up far from the water in landlocked Denver, Colorado. I’m Elena, a creative operations strategist, photographer, and designer based on the Georgia coast. My work has always lived at the intersection of structure and creativity. I was the “math brain” kid growing up—naturally analytical—but I was just as drawn to art, storytelling, and visual expression. I’ve always believed the most powerful creative work comes from blending those two worlds. Read more>>

I began my career as a college art professor, which shaped how I approach photography today, as storytelling, not just imagery. Photography came into my life during a season of transition as a military spouse, moving often and rebuilding community in each new place. We started M&B Farm & Hatchery from the ground up as a family, not with a big plan, but with a simple goal: to help animals that needed somewhere safe to land. Even though I did not come from a ‘car’ family, I’ve always loved racing and working on cars. I begged neighbbors to take me to the local dirt track when I was ten and started racing and building my own engines at 15. In my Irish immigrant family, we were all expected to attend college and then make our way up the corporate ladder. Read more>>

Everyone loves a good story, and the four of us still laugh about how this came about. Our favorite line is ‘this is what happens when you go out with several boaters to watch the air show and have a little too much to drink…you come home with a bar’! True story. Read more>>

I founded Ostella in August 2024. Growing up, I always had a a deep appreciation for the antique beauty and natural artistry found in shells and pearls. In my 20s, I lived life at full throttle. I owned a fitness studio, competed in natural bodybuilding, ran a meal-prep business, and helped manage one of the top-performing gym franchises in the country. From the outside, I looked like the picture of health—strong, driven, and “doing all the right things.” But behind the scenes, my body was quietly unraveling. Read more>>
